Glatfelter Announces CleanPress™ CF for Carbonless CF Rolls
Chillicothe, Ohio, July 4, 2009: Glatfelter, a global manufacturer of specialty papers and engineered products, and a leading innovator in carbonless papers, announces the launch of a new technology for carbonless CF rolls. With CleanPress™ CF, we’ve reformulated our CF technology for carbonless rolls to be cleaner, greener and longer-running while maintaining high imaging quality.
Carbonless CF paper has long been problematic for large jobs. The buildup of blanket dust has on, average, required printers to shut down after every roll for a 15-minute wash-up with harsh solvents. In the “CleanPress™ CF Challenge,” a series of evaluations, printers have been able to run anywhere from 4 to 8 mill rolls between wash-ups, which are now possible with a cleaner, water-based solvent.
“For printers, the runnability makes CleanPress™ CF rolls the obvious choice. Shops can now multiply their efficiency and waste less product compared to conventional CF rolls,” said Product Manager John Stolarz.
“CleanPress also builds on the environmental values we’ve established with the NatureSolv™ Capsule and our FSC/SFI/PEFC Certifications,” said Director of Marketing Melissa Klug. "The end users feel great about the greener chemistry, and the fact that their job can be completed with less energy, waste and clean-up."
CleanPress™ CF will be standard on all carbonless CF rolls, beginning with orders from July 4, 2009. Detailed product information will follow from your Glatfelter Territory Manager, or contact us at email@example.com.
